Unfortunately, you might be quite disappointed at the worth of this particular coin. The fact is, this seemingly large coin is worth little in today’s currency: Less than a cent, to be precise. The coin in question is an old Mexican $100 peso, which is now worth 1,000 times less than the brand new Mexican peso. The peso isn’t worth much in American dollars these days either, meaning it’s understandable why the coin is worth so very little.

If you want to get a precise valuation on your coin, your best bet is to try and find a coin specialist. Many jewelry shops in your area will be happy to take a look or you, and provide you with an evaluation of the coin, but naturally, not all jewelry shops will have a coin expert available. You could, instead, find a store that specializes in old coins, with staff who will be able to tell you more information about the coin and provide you with a precise valuation, however small that may be.

You could also go online to try and find out more about the coin. Coinmill.com is a money conversion website that will provide verification of the valuation provided above. When you go on the website, click the link near the top right of the page, and you’ll be able to convert the old Mexican peso to the new Mexican peso.

Finally, you will be able to obtain a great deal of information if you can get online to one of the many forums out there that focus on coin valuation. The knowledgeable members on these forums could be experts in the field of coins, and by simply posting a thread that asks a question, many people will be happy to help you.

$0.75 cents minus 1000% (older than 1993) OR $0.000746 which comes to 75/1000 of one cent. HEY, it looks good, looks like gold, is heavy and is a conversation piece.

Sorry if you had high hopes, this coin is worthless. Its an old mexican $100 peso which is worth 1000 times less than the new mexican peso which isn't worth much in US dollars either. Check out this money conversion site for varification   www.coinmill.com   be sure to find the link near the top right to convert old mexican pesos (MXP) and not the new peso (MXN)

About 25cents to a dollar....and accurately you should be calling it a 100 Peso coin.
But I am assuming at the time it was minted it could be worth up to $5 what do I know
