I had a 1901 silver dollar and back in 1986 I thought wow This is a neat coin and I had somebody check it out for me and is was worth 8.50 at that time, I put it in my moms safety deposit box and two years ago she died. My sister cleaned out the safety deposit box and spent all the money. Not even thinking cause now I guess some of the 1901 silver dollars are worth a pretty penny especially the ones that havent been in circulation. I saw a nineteen hundred dollar price tag with no mint on it. Some of the others were anywhere from 17.00 to 400.00 so make sure you go see somebody who knows what there doing.
