How do you find the value of old coins?

Because the value of coins is changing so much now don't bother with the books in a book store.You will most likely think your coins are a higher grade than you think.
Take your coins to a coin shoppe (only 3 or 4 at a time) ask the clerk there what they think. If they think some are worth doing so have them sent in to be officially graded and encased in plastic.

A great way to determine price is to see what others are paying for on the same coin. EBay can sometimes help in determining what the market is willing to pay for a particular coin. Look up your old coin and view completed auctions to see what folks are willing to pay for that particular year.

Local coin shops are great as well to get that one one help!
