The 20p coins in question are a mistake by The Royal Mint.
The £50 being offered is not an attempt to get the coins back, it is in fact being offered by The London Mint Office.
The London Mint Office is a trade mark of 'The Crown Collections Limited', a coin marketing company.
They are buying the coins to resell them.

There are between 50,000 and 200,000 of these in circulation due to an error when producing them. If you register at the London Mint Office office online you can claim £50 straightaway. However if you hang on to it they reckon it could be worth up to £300 in the future

If Its Got Not Date You , You Can Skim the Internet And When They Was Making the 20p 20,000+ Didn't Have Dates On. So They Want Them All Back So if You Have One Register it Online And You Get 50 Pound Just for Returning the 20p, Pretty Cool Huh?
