I think in College level that the Coaches develop a better rapport with the players. They also don't have to deal with general managers and owners and have better control over who they pick to be on their teams. Case in point : Jim Harbaugh. Clashed with lousy upper management in S.F. And has done fine in Michigan.
I would guess the wage is higher in professional sports .. And that's all I know about that .
I think in college sports many of those playing are doing so for the love of the game. In professional sports many are just palying for the money. They no longer care about loyality or teamwork. So the coaches in college have it easier because their players want to work together. With professional teams the caoches have to deal with too many egos. It is the reason I usually don't watch pro games, but will watch college games.
