Preserving old-fashioned banknotes is a popular pastime for many Americans, and for enthusiasts who are planning to sell their collection to a dealer (or who are curious as to the true value of their 1953 two-dollar bill,) it can be difficult to ascertain the true value of each banknote. Typically, a banknote such as a 1953 two-dollar bill with a red seal has a value of $10, but if you plan to sell to specialist dealers, you may find that their offer will be notably less than this to ensure that they have a margin in the event they find a buyer.

Online marketplaces such as eBay can be a good place to find these specialist collectibles. If you watch a 1953 two-dollar bill identical to yours go through the bidding process, you may be able to see the eventual selling price at the conclusion of the auction. Even though the price you may receive through an Internet-based auction might be slightly less or more depending on the interest in your collection (or individual banknote,) such a method is a good idea of what remuneration you could expect by putting this rare banknote under the hammer.

In addition to being a good place for sellers of 1953 two-dollar bills with a red seal, online auctioning websites can be an idyllic environment for buyers who could be looking to expand their collection. Through watching a number of different auctions, you will be able to diversify your impressive portfolio of banknotes from the past, using the rough market value of $10 and your negotiating skills to get a great deal.

I Did some Research and found he value to be about $10.00.  They say to keep it because if the government gets it, it will be destroyed. You have a great piece of American History.

It depend on the quality of your bill. Someone will pay the un-circulated for around $15-20 and the circulated one will worth around $8-12.

I have a 1923 series two dollar bill with a red seal, but the seal is on the left side of the bill and is slightly bigger then the 1953 series seal. Is this a real bill and if so what is it worth. Other wise they both look pretty much the same.
