There is no such thing as a million dollar bill The largest denomination of US currency is the $100 bill. The purpose of the denominations is to provide currency that will service the American public. Anything over $100 would be too difficult to cash in. As it is, many businesses wont accept $100 bills. In 1969, there were $500, $1000, $5000, and $10,000 bills. But they discontinued them as they were impractical. There was at one time 1 million dollar special limited collectors art series that sold for $1.oo. They were never legal tender and have no value.
