There are two forms of craft that are involved in making objects and articles out of paper. The first is origami and the other is Papier Mache. The former is based on making objects and articles especially animal forms by folding paper into distinct shapes. This originated in the Far East and is a well-established art form in Japanese. One of the unique features of this craft is that the models made feature some animation as well. For instance the wings of Origami cranes flap if you pull the tail. Then there is Paper Mache which uses bits of paper that are stuck together with a paste. Several objects can be made using this technique including balls, vases, saucers etc. These forms of craft are world famous and methods and techniques are widely available on the internet and in books.
