I Have An 1865 Silver Dollar. It Has An Eagle On Back, Washington(?) On Front. Is It Worth Anything?

A coin collector would be able to tell if it is real or fake and if it's worth anything.  You can always look it up online as well...see what it's selling at on other sites.

Well that last guy was REALLY believable. I just bought this quarter, and I believe it to be a fake. I was totally taken.

A facsimile is to 'make like', which means he doesn't think it's the real thing. Take it to a coin collector and talk to them about it. They know coins and currency, they would best be suited to tell you. Hope this helps you out.

I will start to say yes your 1865 silver dollar is rare number 1 fac-simile does not stand for make like you must no your history it means pretty face and also nown as smiley face whitch was washintons nick name the dies were made up in 1865 for the dollar or a trade dollar production was put to a halt as at this time many things were going on at the same time war was coming lincoln was shot a new president is now in order as you can see lots going on the dies again came back in 1932 and there you now have a quarter I hope you have not sold your dollar yet do not as it will have a grate value I do have one as well I am now digging up invo it will take awile to get the paper work on all prodution your friend e-w every world analizer canada
