Today Dec13, 2009 50 Liberian dollars is worth about 75 US Cents. Liberia has only issued coins up to one dollar to be used as legal tender but has issued many different commemorative coins over the years. The 2002 Liberian 50 dollar gold Eisenhower coin goes for around $125 US Dollars, but the 1996 Liberian 50 dollar "Face on Mars" coin seems to have been produced in much greater quantity and although worth more than the exchange rate, it is hard to put a specific value on it until many come up for sale and we see where the market values them.
