All over the world, chess has been one of the most popular games, not only amongst the old generation, but also the younger generation. Some people play chess to make a living out of it as professional players; however the average people also play chess regularly for certain reasons.

For some people chess is simply a game of fun, involving a lot of challenge and excitement. It makes a person think through the brain and use his intellectual side. People even play chess to relieve stress and tension from their daily lives. The game involves people in a way that they get addicted to the game and play it till it does not end. The whole excitement of being a winner is a self motivating feeling which people enjoy going through.

People like to analyze the problem and tackle the situations. They feel it makes their mind work faster and efficiently. It is said that this game is really good for patients of Alzheimer's disease as it helps them in retaining their memory. Blood circulation becomes better as stress is released after playing chess.
