This stamp is still worth something of value and is priced at 41 cents with the American Flag on it. The stamps were actually issued on April 12, 2007. According to the US Postal Service any piece of mail that is subject to a higher price in value will be subject to extra postage. This stamp is not classed as a 'forever stamp' by the USPS.

The United States Postal Service is a true stalwart of American brands. The USPS is also sometimes termed the US Post Office.

The USPS is a completely separate agency of the US government responsible for all the major postal service jobs and responsibilities across the United States of America. It belongs to a very exclusive group since it is authorised by the United States Constitution.

The USPS was officially founded in 1775 during the period of the Second Continental Congress, where the soon to be President of the United States of America, Benjamin Franklin, was appointed the first postmaster general.

The Post Office Department was officially inaugurated in 1792 from Franklin's operation, although not transformed into its present form until 1971 under the so called Postal Reorganization Act.

The United States Postal Service now employs around 596,000 workers and owns more than 218,000 vehicles. It is in fact the second biggest employer in the United States, after Wal-Mart, and has the prestigious honour of owning the largest civilian vehicle fleet across the globe.

USPS has a duty to serve all American citizens, regardless of geography, at usual price and quality. The USPS has special access to letter boxes marked with the sign "U.S. Mail" and personal letterboxes throughout the United States, but still has as its competition other brands such as package and parcel delivery services, such as UPS and FedEx.

No, they have a value of 39 cents. If you look with a magnifying glass on the flag pole, you can see 2007 on it. When you research, the value was 39 cents then.

Thanks! I would have never seen the year on the flag pole, even with my magnifying glass without you telling me where to look!

They are not forever stamps, but they do have a value of 41 cents. Go to USPS.com and search for '2007 price change stamps' to verify if needed.

Per the USPS website:

"I have non denominated American Flag stamps. Will I need additional postage?

Yes. The postage value of the non denominated American Flag stamp is 41 cents. Any mail piece subject to a higher price will require additional postage."
