Used stamps are generally worth less than unused stamps, but it doesn't mean that your stamps aren't worth anything. The best way to assess their worth is to take them to your local stamp collecting shop, and allow the experts there to have a look - while I doubt they are worth as much as you might hope for, they can certainly tell you what they are worth.
