You are probably the only person who is going to be able to tell if your Bentley watch is real or fake. There are several ways that you can do this but you will need a quiet moment with no distractions where you can really examine every aspect of your watch. Below are some things to look out for when examining a Breitling Bentley watch. It is handy to have a magnifying glass for these steps.

  • Check the weight of the watch
This doesn't mean getting out a pair of scales. Just hold the watch in your hand and test its weight. Real Breitling watches will have a heavy head. The stainless steel band will also feel rather heavy. If it is a fake then the head and steel band will feel lighter. The steel may also have a rather cheap feel to it.

  • Look at the logo
The logo on a genuine Breitling watch will be embossed into the watch's dial. If it is a fake then the logo will be printed on the face of the watch. It will also look rather thin on a fake watch and often smeared. A magnifying glass is extremely helpful for this step.

  • Look at the back of the watch
Using a magnifying glass, examine the back of your watch to see if there as many misspellings. If the writing is foreign (which is common even on genuine Bentley's) search for a picture of an authentic watch of the same type and compare them letter to letter.

  • Look at the sub-dial
Using a magnifying glass if needed, examine the nine o'clock sub-dial. If the watch is a fake, then they will display the days of the week, however a genuine Breitling watch will only show the date.

  • Check the watch for markings
If the watch is genuine then the manufacturer's marking will be placed on the back of the watch's links. Look at the strap to check for a model number.
