I see nothing wrong with it if you are using the deer for food, but just using the head for a trophy is wrong. There are decapitated deer bodies left on the side of the road at my parents all the time left to rot and be wasted.. Deer meat is tasty.

Deer hunting is absolutely right.  You see, first of all the current Whitetail deer population is getting out of control in most areas of the country.  This overpopulation leads to disease, destruction of habitat and a general decline in the health of the deer population.  As a retired Law Enforcement Officer I can also tell you that the overpopulation of deer, leads to an increase of deer/vehicle collisions.  I am an avid deer hunter, and hunting these wonderful animals has provided me with countless hours of stress-free enjoyment of the great outdoors.  They are also a perfect source of great tasting totally natrual meat for me and my family.  My children and Grandchildren are all deer hunters as well as turkey and duck hunters, and I feel sure they will pass down to their children the outdoor, hunting and fishing lifestyle to their children, just as my dad did with me, you see hunting and the outdoor lifestyle is a legacy to be passed on to your family forever.

I don't have a problem with people who want to go deer hunting. I grew up though in a family that viewed it as okay. My dad is a deer hunter and I have seen a deer in our garage many times as a child. I don't think that hunting is a vicious act, I think that it actually brings you closer to nature and makes you truly appreciate where your food comes from. I can understand how people view it as a malicious act, but I feel it is okay.

I believe it is up to the individual. I am not a fan when it comes to killing any living thing. When my husband and sons go hunting they are well aware I don't want to hear about it or see any dead deer and they respect this, as I respect how they feel. For those people out there who eat anything more than eggs and veggies are hypercritical!!!

No.  Nothing wrong with hunting.  As long as you eat what you shoot.  If you do not want to eat it donate it to the needy a lot of food pantries take them as donations. And if you do not have a hunting season they will just overpopulate and end up starving over the winters--Would you rather die a quick death or slow starving one?

Yeah its a quicker way for them to die than if they die from a bullet rather than starvation or from disease

I have no problem with it but I don't hunt because I just think it's been boring the few times I went. The walk in the woods was worth it though ;) as far as meat eating in general I find that perfectly natural as well. We are omnivores. The only reason meat eaters are generally less healthy than the average vegan is because I think most people have meat as too large a portion of their diet. I think if the average american cut out meat just a bit they'd be healthier than the vegans.

No hunters keep th deer population from being so out of control that no one will be able to do anything about it. Anti-hunters don't have the facts to prove that hunting is wrong they say that the animal suffers well of course it is its not going to drop dead on contact.

Well have an animal killed with a shot in the wild where they have a chance or with a knife cutting their throats on a farm. Its your choice

Its only wrong to waste to meat and leave it to rot so it isnt wrong at all
if you refuse to kill an animal but you eat meat you are a hypocrite.
Sorry but its true nature intended for carnivoures and omnivours to be predators and for the herivoures to be prey. Plain and simple.

Well my opinion on deer hunting is wrong as who puts a poor animal through pain like that?
Some people think its some sort of sport and get their kicks out of it but what if that was your animal, just stop and remember what your doing to these Innocent animals!

Haha if they arent killed a quick bowshot/gunshot they die even more slowly and painfully. For intance if they reach an old enough age then they dont gain enough clacium in their diet and cant grow their teeth back so they die slowly of starvation.....or are eaten. Yeah hunting is good for deer management

Nothing wrong with it as long as you don't waste the kill and leave it there to rot as long as you use it properly as nature intended its fine.
