I'm a huge fan of the show, although I haven't had a chance to play the board-game much. If you're a fan of the show too, then here are some facts that I think you'll find very interesting:
- The first American to win "Who wants to be a Millionaire" didn't use any of his lifelines until the final question. He then called his dad and told him that he actually didn't need any help with answering the question, he just wanted to tell him he was about to win $1,000,000!
- On the British "Who wants to be a millionaire" a man cheated his way to £1,000,000 by using a system of coughs from a family member in the audience. His trickery was not discovered for several months
- In the Russian version of the game, audience members once intentionally gave out wrong answers to make the player lose!
