Lady Diana Spencer was educated at Riddlesworth Hall in Diss Norfolk, until 1974, until she was transferred to West Heath, near Seven Oaks in Kent.

Diana Frances Spencer was born on July 1st 1961 at Park House near Sandringham in Norfolk. Her family lived on the Queens estate in Sandringham and the family had had connections with royalty for centuries, even though when she married Prince Charles, much was made of her 'ordinary life' teaching in a kindergarten.

Ribblesworth Hall is still open and currently has 34 boys and 99 girls in the school. 13 pupils board weekly and 18 board full term time. The rest are day pupils. Only girls can board, with all boys being day pupils. Fees range up to almost 15k per annum for full term time boarding. Scholarships are available to the school. Over recent years there has been a marked increase in the number of overseas students who have attended the school. In addition the school offers places to children with learning difficulties.
