The use of colour in the Ming vase that is a bohemian blend of softness and splendour is the chief reason as to why it is rated so highly in terms of aesthetic refinement. It was developed in Chinese dynasty in pure porcelain, which was called Ming porcelain – the name of the porcelain was what ultimately gave the vase its name. The introduction of Mink vases marked a completely different style in the creation of pottery. Till then, the artistic emphasis in pottery was given to the form and glaze of the object, nevertheless the Mink vase incepted accentuation of the element of decoration as the prime determinant of judging the beauty of pottery. Unlike the potters of the Sung and the Yuan dynasties, who never paid attention to this particular aspect of pottery making. During the Ming dynasty, the production of Chinese porcelain was a prosperous industry that contributed towards the economic development of the Chinese civilization.
