Whilst your other half is busy playing on his Xbox, you may find yourself at a loss for things to do. Thankfully, I've come up with a great list of things you can try doing to kill time till your boyfriend has decided to pay you a bit more attention.

Things to do when my boyfriend is playing video games
Although spending time with your boyfriend is important, you may find that there are times when you both need space to enjoy your own individual hobbies. Playing a games console like the Xbox is something young males all around the world spend their time doing.
What you do whilst your boyfriend is busy playing Call of Duty or GTA depends on how long he intends to spend immersed in his video game world. Here are a bunch of ideas you could try:

  • Making an angry birds pizza
  • End world hunger by playing word games on freerice.com
  • Write, direct and film a movie on your camera-phone
  • Write a letter to someone using newspaper clippings
  • Learn some basic Klingon phrases
  • Have a fancy dress tea-party with friends (including small sandwiches with the crusts cut off)
  • Start a Tumblr blog about cat makeovers
  • Learn a magic trick

How do I get my boyfriend to stop playing Xbox
If you've tried keeping yourself busy and it still isn't working, you may want to start considering ways that you can lure your boyfriend away from his games console. Here are a few ideas you could try out:

  • Try getting changed into an eye-catching outfit and suggesting you make out
  • Ask him if he'd like to go out and get something to eat or drink with you
  • Offer to play a game with him (he may get the hint and just turn the Xbox off all together)
  • Set off a fire alarm
  • Challenge him to a duel
  • Ask him to go for a jog with you
  • Invite some other friends over and have a party

If this is something your boyfriend likes to do then its good that you want to stay entertained by other things, rather than try to find ways to stop him playing!

Gaming is incredibly addictive - even just watching it!! Get to know the games. Notice where he gets stuck and perhaps offer to look up a way to help him through it.

There are lots of places on the net which give tips and maps to help you get through a tricky part of a game. Look it up and guide him through it. He'll appreciate the help and you get to be involved as well.

Find something you like to play together. I always liked tennis. A fun competitive two player game! You can even play two player against another pair somewhere else in the world by playing online!

Your other option is just to do your own thing! Read, do some surfing on the net, put on a face mask, have a bath! Do something in that time that you like to do that he doesn't necessarily enjoy! Then you can enjoy better time together.
