I used to watch reruns of Match Game. The show is much funnier watching it as an adult. There were a lot of jokes that went over my childhood head that I got the second time around. They also used to tape 5 shows a day. They would tape the first three shows (Monday-Wednesday) then take a lunch. They would drink during lunch so the next two shows got even raunchier.

Otis, I couldn't have afforded $5K in 1960. I was only earning $34/week.

True enough. That $34/week was an adult wage. My first job only paid $13/week and that was a little better than average for a starting wage. Of course, prices were very much lower then than now.

I like to look at back ground props in older tv shows and see how far things have come also. Like the cop shows who pull out the HUGE cell phone with the anteneas or the tvs with VCR's and rabbit ears! LOL! Or what about pagers and phonebooths! LOLOLOLOL! Oh yah and computers when they use to take up the whole room! FUNNY!
