My favorite board games would require at least some thought behind them. Games like Trivial Pursuit are really great

Thing is, I'm designing a board game and so far I have several features, but I'm not sure if I should go for a complex battle system or not. Custom made dice, everything 3d printed and laser cut, have a working prototype. Thus asking for features you would love in a game. :)

If I was playing with my kids when they were young, it would have been simplicity and easy. Something they could learn fast and have fun. With another adult, a game  like Risk or Blitzkrieg that was a lot more challenging would have been more appropriate. A friend and I played a war game called : Victory in the Pacific . It was quite hard but fun.
