The value of a watch varies a lot depending on how well it was made, whether it is in good condition now and whether it has any marks or scratches on the glass.

It is difficult to put a price on a watch. The best course of action is to go along to your local auction house on one of their free valuation days. Get the watch valued by an expert as they will know what they are talking about.

If you dont have a local auction house or it doesn't offer free valuation days, it may be worth popping into a jewelers as they will have an some idea of its value. If you are serious about selling it and getting a decent price, it may be worth buying some jewelery polish to clean it up well, perhaps replacing the battery also if necessary.

Bear in mind, it may well be that the watch has more sentimental value than real value. If an auctioneer or jeweler quotes you a price you think is satisfactory, it may be worth considering it twice as you do not want to sell something which you later regret.
