Yes, Swakeley's House has an Open Day, as most ancient cottages that have been turned into public places now do. On this day, the mansion is opened to the public, which gathers for such events as informal get-togethers, interactive sessions, coffee mornings, book and art exhibitions and awards functions. The grounds outside Swakeleys House, an elegant 17th-century cottage that takes visitors back in time to the Jacobean era, is home to a biennial festival and gala event called the Festival of Ickenham.

The Festival of Ickenham has been taking place in Ickenham after an interval of two years since 1975-76. The Ickenham festival is basically a gala charity event that takes place in June. On this day, all the various groups of people that live in Ickenham come together and participate in the fair, including groups representing the local church, the Boy Scouts and Girl Guides Association, and schools in the vicinity.

The most famous schools located in Ickenham are Breakspear Junior School, Glebe Primary School, Vyners School and Douay Martyrs School. Ickenham is a town located in Hillingdon, Greater London (in the county of Middlesex), London, England.
