Someone who uses a parachute can be known by two different names, depending on whether they are in the military or not.
- If they are part of an airborne military unit that uses parachutes, they are called a paratrooper.
- If they are just a regular person who parachutes, they are simply called a parachutist.
Incidentally, Colombia's military doesn't just include humans in its paratrooper units.... dogs are welcome too!
