An "accumulator" in this context, is the practice of betting on a series of races (or, actually any suitable events) where any winnings from the event are placed as a bet on the next event in the series. This means that winnings increase rapidly with serial success. Thus the term "accumulator" is not, in the dictionary sense really correct.

A colleague of mine, then just a printing apprentice, made several thousand pounds on an accumulator, starting with a £1.50 bet. Whilst he was very grateful, he wished, of course that he had bet a lot more.

hanks for your answere.
A good explanation and now i know what it mean.
There are a lot of terms which i don´t realy know and which would be good to know. There are so many variants you can play but i only Play for a win/lose/draw.
Do anybody knows where i can find a list with all this betting terms instead of asking every term here?
As an example i also have no idea what´s the difference between the normal handicap and the asian handicap and the list i don´t know is long;)

An accumulator bet, also known as a parlay, is a single bet that links together more than one bet and is dependent on all the bets winning to land a profit. This type ofbetting allows for higher odds than a single bet, potentially meaning a greater return from the initial stake size should all the bets come in.

I must confess that I prefer an advanced version of this type of bets, the system bets. With this method you don’t have to guest all the predictions in an accumulator, and for example three from four etc.

It’s more difficult to calculate the possible winnings, but you can find system bets calculators in the Web via https://betsofa.com/ .
