I have many times. Especially when I had my shop and I would sometimes be able to get out and go have a nice lunch. But I still do it now also as they won't let my Basset Hound in with me ! LOL

Rarely these days as my husband is retired and I don't work either. When I was younger, while working and going to school I often ate alone. I usually got my studying in then.

I have occasionally. I find that I have to have something to entertain me while I am there. It used to be a book. Now most of the times it is my phone. Social media is the in way to spend time. Even if you are with someone. Ha. How many times have you been somewhere and all around you, the young people are on there phones.
Sometimes for lunch. I usually eat lunch at home, but sometimes I just get tired of the options. It's common to see people eating lunch alone. I feel sad when I have to eat dinner alone.
