I'm going to show you two card tricks.
------You mix a set of cards. You show it to the person your showing the trick to, at the same time you have a look at the lask card when you've mixed it. Then tell the other person to split the cards in half. You are now going to tell him the top two cards from each pile. So, because you saw the back card on e of them will be it, but you take the other one instead, you slightly look at it so the other person does'nt notice. Then you say the number you new before nd when you pick up the other card you say the number you just found out now.NOT the on you found out before.
------Take a pack of cards and choose one of them. Let's say that it's the Ace of Spades for our example. Make a photocopy of that card and place the photocopy in an envelope. Seal the envelope with tape and post it to yourself through the mail. Now wait til the mail comes.

Find yourself a willing and unsuspecting person to practice your magic card trick upon. Take the pack of cards (with the Ace of Spades on top). Ask the person to give you a number between one and twenty (any number is fine). Say they say eleven, count the cards down on to a flat surface in a new pile, quickly without counting out loud. Your Ace should now be the bottom card of the new pile.

Once you've done this, pretend you were sure if that's the right amount and to make sure alls fair do it again. Your card should now be back on top. Ask the person to take that card and look at it, memorise it and then to slip it back in the pack. Shuffle the pack, then give them the pack of cards and tell them to place the cards in their pocket. Now tell them that you got a letter today and you hadn't opened it, before you do the trick, would it be okay if you check it wasn't a letter you were expecting, ask them to concentrate on their card the whole time.

Fetch the letter with the photocopy in it, tell them that whilst it has your name on it, you think it might be for them instead. Ask them to open the envelope and watch their surprise when they see the card they chose!

My favorite is a well known card track called "52 card pick up". You asked the person if they want to see the "52 card pick up" trick, if they say yes, chuck the cards on the floor...and ask them to pick them up....yeah it's awful and well known. But if they haven't heard of it before, it's worth the laugh.
