UPPER THREADING: Rotate the balance wheel towards you until the take up lever is raised to its highest position. Place the thread on top of the spool pin in provided on top of machine and bring thread through guide at back side face plate. .. Now downward, drawing thread through backside of tension disk, bringing thread around over the top of thread guide post, then through take up spring... Continuing thread upward through take up lever, then downward to face plate thread guide, and through needle bar thread guide, and through needle from left to right.
I just bought a beauty of a machine today, here is what the booklet says. Sorry I can't give you the pictures. Make sure that you go around the tension disk from above, around the back and up again then thru the spring into the take up lever. That's different from today's machines. Good luck!
