These rod and reel combos were made in the '50s under one of four patents. If yours has the chrome bottom with the crank that moves in a slot to the rear of the rod , it is the earlier version. They range from about $30 to $90(nib condition). They are great collector pieces. About five years ago several Whirlaways appeared on Ebay in nib condition and went for over $300.
