I Have A Vintage Fleetwood Sewing Machine That Is In Excellent Condition. It's A Heavy Duty 690 Model. I'm Looking For A User Guide So I Can Thread It Properly And Get The Right Needles. Any Ideas?

Does it look anything like this

there are manuals for sale there.

The two critical issues are the path of the upper thread and which way the bobbin goes in.

Relative to the bobbin, with the thread hanging down, it can look like [p] or [q] before insertion.  One way works just fine and the other way won't.  Lacking a manual, there's trial and error.

Please tape a note with correct bobbin placement to the underside of the machine once you figure it out, as a kindness to future users.
